Join us for the 2nd NBISC Invasive Species BioBlitz! From July 27th to August 4th, you can become a community scientist and contribute to invasive species management by reporting sightings of invasive plants, insects, wildlife, and diseases.
There are two ways that you can participate:

Report invasive species sightings to the “NBISC Invasive Species BioBlitz 2024” iNaturalist project from July 27th to August 4th. Join the project (see the Frequently Asked Questions section for instructions), register below, and submit an observation to be entered to win 1 of 2 prize packs.
In-person: “I Spy Invasive Species at Bears Head”
Date: July 27th
Time: 10:00am - 1:00pm
Location: Boars Head Nature Preserve, Saint John, NB
Join the New Brunswick Invasive Species Council, the Nature Trust of New Brunswick, and like-minded nature enthusiasts as we explore Boars Head Nature Preserve while identifying invasive and native plant and wildlife species as part of a BioBlitz. Whether you're a budding enthusiast or a seasoned expert at identification, this event is for you!

Create a free account if you don’t already have one!
Find our event project: NBISC Invasive Species BioBlitz 2024
On the app, click the three bars on the top-right corner and select “Projects” with the briefcase icon. You can then search for the project.
On the desktop platform, click here to go directly to the project or search for the project name using the search function.
Once you’ve selected the project, click “Join” to become a member. This allows your observations to be captured as part of the NBISC Invasive Species BioBlitz and for you to be entered to win an amazing prize pack.
Begin documenting your invasive species observations! This can be done while you are outdoors, or when you return from your outing and have internet access. Just make sure that the date for the observations is set to July 27th - August 3rd.

There are two ways that you can enter to win one of two prize packs:
Submit invasive species observations to the NBISC Invasive Species BioBlitz 2024 iNaturalist project from July 27th to August 3rd, 2024. Each unique submission counts as one (1) entry for a draw for the first prize pack. The winner will be chosen after the event had ended, and we will contact the winner using the information that was submitted to register for the event.
Attend the in-person BioBlitz at Boar's Head Nature preserve on July 27th. Each attendee will be able to entered once (1) for the draw for the second prize pack.
